Journey

In the States it seems like we are constantly going. We wake up two hours early just get some errands accomplished, drive 45 minutes to work, spend the next eight hours there, then we run through a drive through to catch a bite to eat, head to church for a couple of hours, drive 45 minutes back home, get settled in bed and there's where it begins.

Stopping.

Slowing down.

Breathing.

Pondering on life, love, and where God is leading us next.

That's where I am in life right now. It seems like I am constantly running around and getting things accomplished, which is good.... nothing would get done if I didn't... but life is busy.

I am anticipating the journey ahead. I'm looking forward to where God is taking me. New Heights. New Boundaries. New strougles. New Challenges.

The Life of a Missionary

Some live in a 2 bedroom home with their wife and 3 children, always wondering whether or not you will have running water or electricity the next day. Some surf their wireless internet while sitting in their high-rise apartment complex. Some witness an amazing harvest field where hundreds are coming to know Christ and are boldly living out their faith. Some serve for 4 years and only see 2 people receive Truth.

Whether I live in Papa Nu Guinea working with people who kill their neighbor because he worships another god, or I live in Western Europe with people who are searching for Comfort, Peace, Truth, Light, and Hope all in the wrong places, it is the same. It is not easier here, nor there.

God is God. He is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. He is the same God in Tulsa, Portland, Lisbon, and Hong Kong. He is my Comfort, Peace, Truth, Light, and Hope. He could have easily made everyone worship Him. But instead He has chosen to use me. He has asked me to go and tell. He has asked me to love in the name of Christ. Fight in the name of Truth. Speak out boldly. Live a life that reflects His. Be who He created me to be.
